Module 1: Getting Started

This course will start with a checklist of all the required materials and address the prerequisites for using acrylic paint. Once done with all this stuff, Tehmina Maknojia will educate you on the proper stance that every painter should adopt. From placing the materials to your best reach to using color palette carefully, everything will be covered in this module.

Module 2: Knowing Your Paints

The best way to start painting is by knowing your colors. This module will cover the major parts of painting from a colour perspective. Students will learn different types of acrylic paint that will be used throughout this online acrylic painting course. Tehmina will also reveal the best quality products available locally that she uses for her paintings as well.

Module 3: Exploring Basic Painting Techniques

This module will be the official start of the painting process. Your mentor will teach you the most widely used as well as some of the essential painting techniques. In particular, four major painting practices, namely gradient, masking, abstract impressions, and silhouette, will be discussed in detail and practically applied.

Module 4: Painting on Canvas

At this point in the course, you will be able to do a painting on a real canvas. Since most of the crucial elements are already known to you, this will not be a high mountain to climb. Tehmina will start by giving you tips to adjust your canvas in order to get the most out of it. Later on, you will learn to transfer the drawing onto a canvas while paying maximum attention to your mentor’s hand gestures. Once you have completed your drawing, you will be advised on how to colour the base of your painting.

Module 5:  Detailing Your Painting

Once your drawing gets painted in its base form, you will apply detailing to your painting. Undoubtedly, one of the most crucial parts of acrylic painting is the detailing stage. A keen eye for detail and very precise use of brushes are the demands of this part. A very intensive study into details will be experienced in this module.

Module 6: Finishing & Final Touches

This is the time when an emotion of satisfaction arises within every artist, the finishing part. You’ll learn to add the finishing touches to your painting using global practices. After adding your sign and date to the painting, the painting part will be wrapped up. Moreover, your mentor also shares the ethic of cleaning up your materials and waste once you’re done painting.
